Not suitable for shoppers

Harbourfront Centre is not as interesting as VivoCity due to the limited shops. I seldom head to Harbourfront unless I'm bored or need to go there to withdraw money from DBS atm. Sometimes I find great deals on the apparels but those shops has closed down. You have a easier access to fast food like KFC and MacDonald, and Sakae Sushi is located on Level 2. However, for Japanese cuisine I prefer Sushi Tei which is located at VivoCity Level 2.

You can find great deals for sports equipment at Level 2 though, it is very near Pastamania. Other than shopping and dining, Harbourfront is also a port for boarding cruise to other places. Overall, I find it is a boring place and I hope there are more improvements to attract customers. Such as implementing special food outlet and apparel stores or create more attractive sales. I would be delighted to see all this upcoming events.

Nice hangout place

The Cathay is not a place if I want to do shopping as the items are more expensive and the products quality is average. However, it is indeed a place for hanging out with your friends. Simply catch a movie before or after a good meal at The Cathay can be satisfactory. I always dine at Popeye or Aston Specialties, before my movie. Usually I prefer Aston but the queue always dampen my mood so Popeye shall be my second choice. If the time is still early, a nice dessert after a great meal is a must. Making decision to have Starbucks cakes or Ben & Jerry is an headache, but final decision is often B&J. Creamy and flavourful ice cream is melting in my mouth. Yum!

If you are not on tight budget, there is a Cathay chinese restaurant. For shopping, I think it is great for no budget male and female shoppers. What I mean is that the price for the apparels are at least $30 and above. I can get a better grade for that sum of money. Just my own perspective.

Food paradise

Bedok Point is like a food paradise. There are all kinds of cuisine at your pick, majority are Asian food. On the first floor, there is a chinese dessert shop which I've forgotten the name. It seems not bad, similar to Dessert Story but have more variety. NYDC is not that good as the cakes taste too sweet and the food is too greasy for me. The higher you go, you can find Sushi Tei, Popeye's, The Chicken Rice Stall and the food court is on Level 4.

If you wish to get something for your pet(s), there's a Pet's Lover shop at the basement. Don't think you will enjoy much if you wish to do shopping. Those apparel stores are like Giordano, Hang Ten and Wanko. I would rather walk out of Bedok Point and shop around since there are more selection and the price is cheaper. Overall, it is definitely a good place for meals. If you stays nearby, chatting till late night is possible since some eateries closed around 2am. You may drop by and take a look but don't pin on high hopes on the apparels.

High end mall

ION Orchard is one of the high end shopping mall in Singapore. For shoppers who love branded goods and find the price reasonable, you will find this mall is like a heaven to you. ION has concentrated many well known brands such as LV and Chanel. However, I'm not into branded stuffs as the price is too high and I don't wish to feel miserable if I've lost it or got stains on it.

I like to go ION for the wide variety of food such as Western, Japanese, Thailand and many more. For family with kids, you can bring them to Swensen's for a ice cream feast since it is on buffet menu. The transport to ION is very convenient, take MRT and alight at Orchard station, once you exit from the MRT exit and you will see ION entrance. Sometimes I will get lost in ION as it is huge, so you may want to get directions from the concierge. There is a food court at basement too, and many other shops. Overall it is an expensive mall to me so I rarely visit it unless I'm bored.

Quite expensive but can get a good deal

Far East Plaza have many shops and eateries. At the basement you can grab a snack from ShiLin while shopping around. There are fast food restaurant such as KFC at the ground level. If you are craving for rice or noodles, head to level three and four for more cuisines such as Indonesian and Asian food. Usually the shops at the basement have cheaper price. The higher the level, the more expensive the apparels can be found. So you better check out the whole building before you make your purchase. Otherwise, don't regret seeing another shop selling at a cheaper price but is the same top or skirt you've bought.

I take less than two hours to shop at Far East Plaza as I judge on the price and the quality of the products. Before I step into the shop, I will glance at the designs of the apparels. Actually everywhere are selling the similar products but at different pricing. After seeing old designs yet the price is not worthing for my purchase, I will simply skip the shop and move on.

Bugis is my favourite shopping location

If you want to shop at Bugis Junction, prepare a whole day as there are too many shops available. Just a BHG, I can take up a few hours to look around. I'm not a impulsive shopper, that's why I will look around the whole place before deciding which items I really like and deserve me to get it home. During sales, BHG makeup and beauty products are at a very good price.

Superman apparel store gives a slim fit lining and I like the designs, simple yet sophisticated. There are many eateries such as MOF, Ajisen Ramen and food court that provides delicious local cuisines. If you find the apparels and accessories prices are high, you may visit Bugis Street which is opposite Bugis Junction.

Too expensive

I think Mustafa Centre may not suit me but it is indeed a popular mall in Little India as I can see the place crowded with people everytime I visit it. You can find daily neccessities, apparels and electronic stuffs at Mustafa. The wide varieties attracted me but the price is higher than I've expected. I've bought a pair of sneakers out of desperation. The quality is bad and hurt my feet. What attract me to Little India is the food. Usually I will accompany my friends to Mustafa as they like the apparels and the electronics, after shopping we will get a meal in Little India before heading home.

Mustafa also sells many different brands of shoes such as Nike, Crocs and Adidas. I'm unsure if the goods are authentic so I dare not purchase it as the price is as high as the other branded shops. The products look old and have dust on its surface, I think they have been left outside for many months and nobody bothers to maintain the cleanliness. Even normal snacks like Hello Panda can be sold for more than $2 per packet. Since it is a tourist attraction, I guess it don't suits a budget Singaporean like me.

Great place for shopping at a good price

Century Square may not be as big as other malls located in Tampines, it can let you shop for hours as many sales can be seen everywhere. If you are a good shopper, you will get the items you want at the price you want. This means you can bargain at the atrium stalls and snatch a good price for all your goodies! There is also a shop near CoffeeBean that sells affordable apparels with good quality and nice materials. The designs are not bad either, make it looks like an expensive dress yet below $20.

I love to get Popeyes after shopping at CS. The fried chicken replenish the protein I needed for my next shopping days and it can fill my stomach easily as I can always redeem a piece of chicken bonafide after completing Popeye's online survey. Worth it! If you dislike fast food, head to basement for a decent meal. Japanese food always attract my attention but there should be other cuisine you may like.

Huge mall for all shoppers

313 Somerset is a heaven for shoppers and diners. This mall is not just for female shoppers, male shoppers definitely able to find their desire in shopping after seeing so many apparels that suit their taste. Forever 21 suits young adults as the style is more colourful and have unique designs. If you like F21 apparels but find it slightly expensive, you can head to Cotton On which have similar designs as F21 but cheaper. F21 have many levels that can let girls spend a few hours on choosing their favourite pieces.

Guys don't have to feel bored shopping with girls anymore, you can simply throw your girl partner alone at the shop and they won't even realise it. Next head to Uniqlo for your best fitting attire that brings out your charisma and figure. The pricing for accessories is considered cheap, you can get some before leaving and match it with your outfits.

After long hours of shopping, no matter how you still need to take a break and consume to replenish the energy. Why not choose the Marche for your dinner with your friend(s). A note for all of you, if you dislike to queue, remember to arrive before 6.30pm or else the queue will let you wait for about an hour. If you find the price is slightly high for you, Hot Tomato Express and other fast food restaurants are located below the ground level.

A place for night owl

I'm a night owl who can't find a good spot to land as many malls have closed and people have went home to rest. Luckily Cathay Cineleisure is opening till late night and I can get my friends (who are the same species as me) to stay outside with me at a comfortable place till first bus or cab home. We will get our movie tickets before choosing which dining place to rest our feet. Usually my group will choose either XinWang or Pastamania since their closure is later than the rest of the food places.

During day time, more shops are opened. At the basement, stalls are opened and selling at a cheaper price. You may want to bargain if you find the apparels pricing is slightly high. Snacks and movie tickets as well as the food court are sold at the basement. The higher level you go, the more expensive apparels you can find. Overall, if you wish to kill time, you may like to take a walk into Cineleisure.
