Century Square
Shopping Malls
Written by Malcolm Baey     April 17, 2012

I live a stone’s throw away from the central of Tampines where the malls and lively hubbub is at. When I’m really bored, I seek pleasure in heading to Tampines One and Tampines Mall… and Century Square – that is, if I’m terribly bored and desperate!

There is nothing for me to do there besides having meals with my family simply out of convenience when we’re craving for sushi (Sakae at Century’s Square’s B1). Shopping is drabbbbb at Century Square. Surely the clothes and stuff you get are cheap but things bought there really compromise on their quality – all shops, except one (can’t remember its name) which sells branded skateboard shoes and Dickies bag but products sold there are definitely pricier.

Probably the most exciting and attractive place at Century Square would be the highest floor where the cinema and arcades are located at. However, the ambience of the mall is too dull and bland that I would not even consider watching a movie or playing at the arcade there, let alone with my friends or with my date.

However to the credit of the mall, a plus point would be the toilet at the 2nd level which really caters to needs of women with a couch in the toilet and many mirrors (!!!) to facilitate in applying our makeup. Truth to be told, I sometimes would make the trip just for the toilet to apply my makeup in comfort and ease.

Overall, nah. Century Square is really a miss to me. It simply doesn’t cater to my needs at all.
