For a place that was heavily hyped up by my friends all over facebook, it's not so great. It didn't have much options like in Bar.B.Q Plaza but it didn't bother me much since I kept munching on the beef a lot. The idea of the grill and buffet is pretty attractive but it's nothing to brag about.

The soup from the steamboat pot was pretty bland and tasteless. For a Korean restaurant, there was nothing Korean about it. Just people putting noodles and meat on the grill or steamboat and nothing more. The Ice Cream was the only thing lightening my mood there.

The only thing Korean about this place is the name of the restaurant (it didn’t even hit me that this was a Korean restaurant until I saw the other reviews). I have been to Seoul Garden a few times now, and have decided that I never want to go back ever again.

The people around me always talk about Seoul Garden, and it really piped my interest. When I finally got the chance to go, I even made sure to have a light lunch. Needless to say, I came out of the dinner full but disappointed.

The biggest disappointment I had with the place was the meat. The marinades are far from fantastic and the only reason why I continued stuffing myself was because I wanted to eat my money’s worth. I also didn’t find myself going back to the steamboat pot for more soup. Don’t come here, don’t waste your time.

The idea of combining steamboat, grill and buffet style is amazingly brilliant and Seoul Garden has definitely realized that.

Price-wise, it's a little bit over the average rate where lunch and dinner rates are different. I went to both occasion and there's not much difference in between them. Maybe they just add up about 2-3 plates of extra menu to its buffet table and that makes a huge difference in terms of price.

I love the fact where we can choose and hover the buffet table to get our favorites for the steamboat. An array of choices from seafood to chicken, with a choice of ice cream, carbonated drinks and deserts are enough to satisfy your hunger. Whenever you're here, please spend your own sweet time to enjoy everything at your pace. It's a waste if you're out a tad too early.

My word of advice: be aware of the strong smell of smoke on your hair and clothes when you walk out of the restaurant.

Seoul Garden proves that sometimes, you don't have to sacrifice quality for quantity.

My family and I were seated and we were given a menu to choose different sets of ingredients to cook in our golden pot at the center of the table. I was glad they had a golden colored pot than a black one as it gave off a sense of class. The food came in plates and there was plentiful amount to feed 4 people.

Before cooking the food, we had to pour some chicken broth into the pot so that the food doesn't get stuck on the pot itself. It would release an aroma that got us all instantly mouth watering. The food was very fresh and after cooking it, we had a choice of 4 or so sauces to dip into and eat.

I like to frequent there now especially in large groups of people as it's more fun to dip the food and wait which gives us a few moments to talk before eating.

I was expecting more Korean food or anything similar to it but was disappointed when I found that it was really not worth the money. The soup tasted bland and it really ruined the food when we put them in the soup. My friends and I ended up eating mostly just the grilled meat. The meat was nice though but during my visit in JB, there were not a lot of choices. They should allow customers who ordered steamboat can also order the set menu. I was expecting spectacular Korean food as seen on TV but what my friends and I got was more like typical Malaysian food.

Having had many pleasant times at Seoul garden in Singapore, I was expecting the same when I visited the City Square outlet in JB.

I was there on a weekday just after lunchtime, and there wasn't much crowd in there. I was disappointed with the array of food on offer. The meat section was disappointingly bare with more emphasis on the vegetables section. When we asked for a top-up of our soup, we had to wait close to 10 minutes for it, byt then our pot had dried out.

Overall, a disappointing experience. I hope to see some improvements in the future, as Seoul Garden is a recognized bard name with lots to live up to in terms of consumer expectation.

Never have a steamboat so bad. At first, i thought it will have some special food since it is entitled with "Korean". But I get disappointed when I found out the food is actually just normally food for steamboat or even worse than other steamboat restaurants. The most ridiculous part is the little bowl it provides as the steamboat. The worker will put the bowl at the centre of a hot plate and left only little space for the BBQ part. It is so bad experience for me. The workers should also take care on the hygiene, so many flies on the food!
