Why community hospitals are so important

“Singapore’s healthcare system bears heavy responsibilities. Apart from mainstream hospitals, community hospitals in our neighbourhoods have been actively contributing to our healthcare system. Bright Vision Hospital (BVH), situated at Yio Chu Kang Lorong Napiri, is an example. From 2002, they have been offering intermediate and long term care services, especially for patients requiring rehabilitation, and palliative care.

Low-income patients have not been denied such services, with donations from the public covering their medical fees.

To celebrate the spirit of giving, BVH has collaborated with local indie musicians (who contribute to the vibrancy of our music scene), in organising a meaningful charity concert.”

Seyra

By crafting refined yet uncomplicated pop-centric songs with a diverse instrumental palette, Seyra’s musical approach reflects the yearning for simplicity and romantic escapism of our urban generation. Seyra is helmed by soulful vocalist Sarah Ismail—who has been compared to the likes of Feist, Rachael Yamagata and Regina Spektor.

They have been featured in local media publications such as TimeOut, Nylon, Juice and hailed by Singapore’s TODAY Newspaper as ‘definitely one name to watch for’.
