I'm never going to eat at 4 Fingers again!

That was what I exclaimed to my partner, after securing a taste of their over-raved chicken, and experiencing their mediocre service.

Firstly, why only open 1 counter when you have 2? The under usage of their counters is quite a common sentiment among frustrated customers. Secondly, their staff are not very educated about their promotions, neither are they helpful. Their poster for a student set meal stated that it was only valid till 31st December, and when I went to the Plaza Sing outlet on 3rd Jan, I asked a staff if it was still valid. He answered with a "I'm not sure sorry." and walked away, leaving me dumbfounded. Anyway, yes, the poster isn't updated. The Student Set Meal promotion IS still valid.

Food-wise, the chicken is just average. I personally felt that even with the $3 off discount for students I could've gotten better quality frozen chicken from NTUC.

4 Fingers have crispy chicken wings with succulent meat inside and it just tastes different from the usual chicken wings you have had. Both their garlic and spicy chicken wings are delicious! Their fries are delicious too, taste way better than the McDonalds one. Their long queue though, is the only thing that is frustrating, and their seats are quite limited.

I just wish that they have a greater space for dine in, I felt quite confined whenever I dine in. They have promotions from time to time, so it is quite affordable for its quality of food.

I've always loved the awesome chicken wings in soy garlic (the spicy was very tasty too, but too spicy for me). In my opinion, it's the best chicken wings ever. The tofu salad and kimchi coleslaw are top on my list too. I've tried the katsu sandwish, but that one was awful, so oily that it's icky.

The main factor deterring me from eating at 4 Fingers more often is the extremely long queue at any time of the day. It's due only partly due to its popularity. Most of the wait is due to the very, very slow service and their strange refusal to hire more than one cashier. The ambience of the Ion branch is average, if you don't include the very uncomfortable large main table with the folding seats.

However, what I detest is its delivery service. I live near Great World City, which is literally 3 minutes from Ion where they dispatch their delivery from. When I called, they said they don't deliver to my area. When I asked which areas they deliver to, they said from Orchard to Raffles Place. In spite of Raffles Place being at least 5 times further away than my home, they refused to deliver to my place, because they just don't. This occurs to me as extremely inflexible and nonsensical.

So, top marks for food, but horrid service - not the fault of the staff themselves, but some stupid policy about delivery and the number of hands on deck.

Just when I thought fried chicken cannot get any more different, Bonchon showed me how yummy fried chicken can actually be. My first impression of the store was that it is very popular. It is common to see a long queue that extends all the way out of the store. There is a dine-in area as well but I guess it would take you a long time to wait for a seat there so I would suggest just taking them away because they taste great even when it isn't hot.

What makes a fried chicken The Boss? For me it has to be a great unique seasoning and superbly crispy skin. I live for crispy chicken skin and when the skin is good, I get sold! I always buy the soy garlic flavor and I really enjoy the fragrance of the garlic. Marinade is done really well. You can taste the flavor in the meat and not just on the surface of the meat. My sister is a fan of their spicy chicken and swears by it but I do not take spicy food so that's all I can tell you. Just a note, service is usually slow and the cashiers sometimes mix up your orders so do check before leaving the shop.

Bonchon has revolutionized fried chicken. Sorry KFC, someone else beat you to 'finger lickin good' chicken, which you were not very good at doing anyway. Hurry get down to Bonchon if you haven't tried them wings yet!

With the long queues being a constant at the sole outlet in ION Orchard in recent months, I lament not visiting 4 Fingers even more in earlier years. As a kid, it was KFC that did fried chicken well, considering it a treat to have it every now and then. In secondary school and now in Poly, 4 Fingers has set the standard for fried chicken.

Every visit entails the same question. How do they get the skin so crispy and what do they put in their sauce? It is deja vu every visit. Kudos to the fry cooks and secret formula that 4 Fingers came up with. I have tried only the soy garlic flavour. Thinking back, I wonder how I did not get bored of having that flavour every time I visited 4 Fingers. I will not be changing that anytime soon, however, I daresay the spicy flavour is worth a try.

The lack of branches is a minor gripe for me, but with a Plaza Singapura one opening in 1-2 weeks' time, I hope the quality will be maintained. For the moment, I'm just glad that another branch is going to be opened. Price wise, it is slightly expensive, considering it costs $17 for a 12 piece set. I do implore you to try it though, you will definitely be impressed with the chicken you get at the very least!

The queues that never seem to subside prove testimony to Bon Chon’s quality. Out of pure curiosity, my friend and I decided to brave the crowd and try it out one fateful day.

The tiny seating space problem ceased immediately when the staff directed us to the seats opposite their counter. I had the garlic-flavoured wings as I am not one to take spicy stuff, and were they delicious indeed! A refreshing difference as compared to the fried chicken we have been accustomed to in Singapore. I do not remember much about the fries and so I guess they were mediocre.

Go for a late lunch or early dinner to beat the crowd.

Whenever we pass by Ion Orchard where a branch is located, my partner and I will always patronize it.

Seats are limited and always occupied on the weekends but people who come here eat and go. So the little wait doesn't hamper our enthusiasm of ordering the delectable chicken wings. If all else fails, we can always try to get seats in the common seating area outside. The chicken wings are that good.

The last time I was there, they were having a promotion. If you have a POSB debit/credit card, you can get 16 chicken wings, a small packet of fries, and a small drink for about $15. A really great deal because I think that the chicken wings are quite expensive by itself.

The chicken wings come in 2 flavours - garlic and spicy. They are equally good. You can order half garlic-flavoured chicken wings and half spicy-flavoured chicken wings in a single set.

The calamari are almost as equally tasty, it's slightly tangy from the lime.

Fries are not too bad too, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It's sprinkled with some sort of green herbs that don't really do much for me.

The burgers whose buns are fried too, are not too bad too.

If you happen to walk by this store, you have got to try the wings.

I'm so excited to know that Bon Chon is here in Singapore and I immediately went to ION and tried their popular chicken wings! Their chicken wings have a unique taste and crispiness that will make you coming back for more.

The service in ION branch was not so good as the cashier/order taker at that time was not so friendly and rushing, although we arrived there 1 hour before their closing time.

When Bon Chon opened their branch in Bugis+, I was there on the first day. The place was not so full so we were able to sit and order in an instant...but the food never came for like 15 minutes to 45 minutes. I was observing the other customers and they're already looking for the manager. I went to the only staff that was left alone in the dining area and he explained that there's no more chicken but not to worry as their cooks were working on iit!! We were so disappointed on how they've handled the situation and not even informing us that we need to wait for almost an hour. When our food arrived we temporarily forgot what had just happened and savored our meal. When we went to the cashier to pay the bill, the staff and manager apologized and also gave us a discount. They've promised to improve and accepted our feedback positively.

I've been a big fan of Korean fried chicken for a long time. Firstly, because I love how koreans do it. The skin is wafer thin and crispy, unlike the KFC and other styles Singaporeans are used to which normally have lots of flour and thick skin. Secondly, Koreans normally use a super spicy paste and I love that taste.

When Bon Chon first came to Singapore at ION, i LOVED it for that reason. It was very spicy. Sadly, they have localised the flavour and dropped the spicyness level which is really sad. I have also never been a fan of the ION outlet, queues were long, waiting time was long and the seats were crowded and uncomfortable to sit on. Especially if you have a big ass, the small wooden plank is going to hurt. Im not fat but I guess i have a big ass.

That all changed with the Bugis+ Mall. It finally has a nice dining area like a restaurant. Also, their menu had been extended! Apart from a BAR (odd, i know!) they have a wider range of Korean food. My gf loves Maki so she ordered that. She said its very typical of Koreans to offer different Maki styles.

Special shoutout to the waiter who provided some of the best service at a fast food chain we have seen. She was unable to decided and he patiently explained the difference in the four different Makis. She mentioned she liked salmon so he suggested the "Volcano Maki" where the salmon was overflowing at the top which also came with cheese. We went with that and it was delicious.

Only bad thing was the fries. It was soggy on the inside kinda like frozen fries that weren't reheated properly. Stay away from the fries! They also didn't have the normal student promotions they have at ION. We let him know the problem with the fries and he said that he will give the kitchen feedback right away. Wow where do they find guys with this service? It was awesome to see.

The first time I tried the chicken wings here (which come in soy garlic and spicy flavors), I was sold! The chicken is crispy but not overfried and the seasoning has just the right amount of salt and flavor. The spicy one is a bit too spicy for me to handle but my boyfriend loved it.

However, going at $7.95 for 6 pcs it is pretty steep for chicken wings, especially since the wings are not the usual hawker centre sized ones. It is about half the size of my palm. Thus, I only indulge in this when I feel I have spare cash to spend.

The ambience is not very inviting - there is a long table which can seat about 20 people. The chairs are foldable ones that are attached to the table, however some of the chairs felt slightly unstable and creaky. Your clothes or hair might come out smelling faintly of the oil as the kitchen is right next to the seating area.
